Kenneth E. Malberg became intensely interested in Bible chronology while taking undergraduate religious studies at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. But it would take over 20 years before this interest culminated in the highly regarded Bible Overview Chart. After completing his studies at Concordia, he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Montana and began a 35 year long career in the aerospace industry. The experience he gained in analyzing, charting and graphing complex data as well as developing concise summaries for the aerospace industry would prove instrumental to the development of the chart. Over
the years he had diligently amassed and studied extensive source materials
related to Bible chronology and the interrelatedness of all of its
66 seemingly diverse books. It was here that his fascination with
the Bible and his experience in charting complex data jelled into
the idea of presenting the Bible in a format which had not been accomplished
before - presenting the "oneness" of the Scriptures in a
unified format chronologically, geographically and by content. This
unique format would also contain general outlines, chapter-by-chapter
summaries, authorship information and dates and places of writing.
Formatting all of this information concisely on a single chart would
make it much easier for people to get the foundation they needed to
increase their understanding of the Bible. Ken's mission became a
labor of love. Once he began the project, it took the better part
of a decade to create the finished product.
Ken
Malberg also holds an MBA from UCLA, has authored technical books,
obtained several patents, and provided technical, quality and management
consulting services. He and his wife Patricia currently reside in
California, on the "Redwood Coast", where he continues to
conduct studies in his favorite subject.
